Can you add training wheels?

Our bikes are designed to be ridden without the use of training wheels. We typically do not recommend using them for a number of reasons but if you are looking for ones that will work with our bikes, we'd recommend ones that clamp onto the chainstays as the rear axle is not long enough to mount training wheels on.

This doesn’t answer the question, and it’s a bit alienating to be honest. My kid has a physical disability and her process for learning to bike looks a bit different. I get it- in GENERAL it is recommended to start with a balance bike and move to peddling- I did it with my first kid. My second kid has different needs, abilities and we’re looking for accommodating her on the awesome spawn bike. Just asking if training wheels CAN be added, not if they’re recommended. Please clarify. Thanks.

Hi, we just bought a second hand Spawn Yoji 14" bike.  You will not be able to add training wheels because the rear axel doesn't stick out far enough on each side to attach a training wheel.  You need a bolt on each side of the training wheel, but there is only room for a single bolt.  You would need to swap out the rear axel with a longer one.  See here  ... You can however take the pedals off the bike and use it as a balance bike.

Actually you can get training wheels with extension bolts, never tried it myself, but see here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SZTKDVH
